Cycladic & Minoan Civilizations (3000 BC - 1100 BC)

Roman Rule (146 BC - 324 AD)
- 67 AD - Nero initiated work on the Corinth Canal
- 132 AD - The Temple of Olympian Zeus was completed in Athens
Byzantine Age (324 AD - 1453 AD)
- 384 AD - Christianity became Greece's official religion
- 529 AD - The schools of philosophy in Athens was closed by Emperor Justinian
- 1210 AD - The Venetians acquired all key Greek ports including Crete
Ottoman Rule (1453 AD - 1829 AD)
- 1453 AD - The Ottoman Turks took over Constantinople
