How to Find Undiscovered Shipwrecks in Greece

Throughout history there have been over 1,000 shipwrecks along the waters of Greece's coastline. Unlike most shipwrecks that are caused due to shallow water conditions, most of these Greek shipwrecks sunk due primarily to excess water entering the ships.

These ships did not undergo the battles of shallow water sinking, and therefore much of the original contents within the ships have been preserved; leaving millions of antiques and treasures lying along the Greek coastline. These treasures have always been protected by Greek authorities who have restricted scuba diving in Greece.

However, in December 2005 authorities lifted these restrictions: scuba diving in Greece is no longer prohibited! This means that the bottom of the Aegean waters still contains millions of treasures just waiting for scuba divers to discover. Valef Yachts has researched historical records and have designed scuba diving yachting packages specifically for divers who want to search for these underwater remains. You can now explore Greece’s 12,000 miles of underwater wonders such as, shipwrecks, sunken cities and artifacts with Valef Yachts.

Chartered Yachts range from 60' to 325' and accommodate from 4 - 50 passengers. Valef Yachts offer varying degrees of luxury and price accordingly. Yacht rates range from $2,000 to $30,000 per day for scuba diving adventures. For more information regarding scuba diving trips in Greece visit www.valefyachts.com or call 800-223-3845.
